Jennifer Lopez has launched a new cocktail brand that is inspired by her energetic and fun lifestyle!
Jennifer Lopez announced her new cocktail brand – Delola – this Tuesday in a new Instagram post. Delola is a “new collection of unique, mixology-level ready to enjoy spritzes.” the singer wrote in the caption. According to TheDrinksBusiness, the cocktails “are gluten free, low in calories and made with natural botanicals” and “will be available in three cocktail variants.”
The Delola Spritz collection will have three cocktail variants: Bella Berry Spiritz, which contains vodka, Paloma Rosa Spritz, with tequila, and L’Orange Spritz, that contains amaro. In a recent interview for People, Jennifer Lopez talked about the idea behind the brand and the process of creating the cocktails. “I think as I’ve kind of gotten to be less of a workaholic and enjoy life a little bit more…it was something that I really, really wanted to do,” the singer, 53, said.
“I love to entertain. I love throwing parties at my house. I’m always the first one on the dance floor at all of the industry events and at times, on vacation, dancing on the table. That is kind of who Lola is,” Lopez added.
The name of the brand refers to the nickname her friends call the singer, “Lola”. In Spanish, Delola means “from Lola”, thus “the way we came up with the name for Delola was really about being the carefree, fun side of who I am,” Lopez added.
As for the bottle design, Lopez talked about the link between the lions on the bottles and her personal life. “I’m a Leo. On the actual bottle, I put two lions — Ben and I are both Leos — like a male and a female lion,” she said. “It’s very personalized, really authentic to me and what I love.”
“I loved the idea of creating something a little more healthy, a little bit more to my taste with kind of healthier ingredients and being gluten-free.” Lopez also told People.
