Infamous Jersey Shore couple, Ron (Ronnie) Ortiz-Magro and Sam (Sammi) Giancola had an awkward moment when the pair were reunited in a recent episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. As showcased in this TikTok video below posted by user @ashleyhawat, Ron rejoins the group in an awkward reunion moment when he comes face to face with his ex, Sam.
According to their castmate, Vinny Guadagnino, this was “the most monumental awkward moment of Jersey Shore history.”

How long did Ron and Sam date?
As mentioned in this related article, Sam and Ron met on Jersey Shore and dated on and off from 2009-2014. The pair reportedly had not seen each other in 7 years before this moment, as Ron outlined in a confessional on the show.

The now-viral clip sees Ron come into the room and address his Jersey Shore castmates, seemingly hugging all of the girls except Sam. Sam does not get up to hug Ron, and Ron seemingly barely acknowledges Sam in the clip, only saying to her, “Hey how are you,” and waving her off to go sit with the boys.
In a confessional clip, Sam says, “Everybody’s on edge, I can feel it, I’m being quiet as hell.” She continues to say, “I don’t know where to look. In my head, I’m just like, ‘Get me out of here,’” also noted here.
Fans – and the other Jersey Shore castmates- have waited a long time for this moment, and there was obvious awkwardness and tension in the room as the two got settled following their brief encounter.
Looks like we’ll have to wait and see what happens on the next episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation when the next episode airs.

Ron was previously engaged to Saffire Matos back in 2021, but the two later called off their engagement. He was previously with Jen Harley, in which the pair have a daughter together. It doesn’t seem as though Ron is currently linked to anyone (here).
