Kanye West is planning to move across the street from estranged wife Kim Kardashian after she filed to become legally single two weeks ago.
The Grammy awarding-winning rapper bought a $4.5 million dollar house in LA’s Hidden Hills. This is West’s second bachelor pad in the area since his split with the Skim’s founder, he listed the former one for $3.7 million two months ago.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star currently resides in the home they reportedly bought for $20 million in 2014. The home famous for its minimalist aesthetic and all-white interior was created in collaboration with architect Axel Vervoordt.
In October Kardashian paid $23 million to Kanye for his share in the home as well as an additional $3 million for the contest including art and furniture.
This comes just two weeks after Kim Kardashian filed to be legally single and restore her maiden name, while she and West finish dividing their assets.
“Irreconcilable differences have existed and continue to exist between [West] and me, which have caused our marriage to irretrievably break down,” read legal documents obtained by TMZ. “No counseling or reconciliation effort will be of any value at this time. There will be no prejudice to [West] if our marriage is immediately dissolved, especially given the fact that throughout our marriage, we adhered to the terms of our premarital agreement and maintained the separate property character of our assets.”
It is unclear how restoring Kim’s maiden name will affect KKW beauty and KKW fragrance both of which use her married initials.
West has very publicly declared he still wants to be with Kim Kardashian but she has not returned the sentiment.
While performing his 2010 hit song Runaway at the Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert with Drake, West remixed his lyrics to, “I need you to run right back to me, more specifically, Kimberly.”
A source close to the reality star told US, “[Kim] was surprised by his comments about wanting to get back together.”
Kardashian has publicly moved on from West with SNL cast member Pete Davidson.
