AHS Season 12 starring Kim Kardashian and Emma Roberts

Reality TV star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian has signed on to star in the 12th season of the popular FX anthology series, American Horror Story. The role was specifically written for Kardashian and marks her most high-profile acting gig to date. She will be joining AHS veteran Emma Roberts in the new season, which is titled “Delicate” and will be based on the forthcoming novel, “Delicate Condition” by Danielle Valentine.

This season of AHS will be a departure from previous seasons, as it will be written and showrun by a single writer, Halley Feiffer. In addition, it is the first time that the show is leaning into source material. The novel “Delicate Condition” is described as a feminist update to “Rosemary’s Baby” and is about a woman who becomes convinced that a sinister figure is going to great lengths to prevent her pregnancy. The specifics of Kardashian and Roberts’ roles are being kept under wraps for now.

Ryan Murphy, co-creator of American Horror Story, expressed his excitement about working with Kardashian in a statement to THR, saying, “Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family. Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.”

Kardashian and Murphy have been friends for some time, and the TV producer was reportedly impressed with her hosting gig on Saturday Night Live in 2021. They began discussing a unique role for her scripted TV debut last summer.

The new season of AHS, which is executive produced by Murphy, co-creator Brad Falchuk, Feiffer, Alexis Martin Woodall, and Scott Robertson, is set to begin shooting in New York City in April. A summer premiere is anticipated, and an exact date is expected to be announced in June. Kardashian’s involvement in the show also highlights her relationship with Disney, where she and her family launched their reality show, The Kardashians, on Hulu just one year ago.
