Lauren Pazienza had reportedly pled guilty to manslaughter. HOLR has the breaking story below.

A random act of violence has led to Lauren Pazienza pleading guilty this Wednesday. As mentioned in this article from the New York Times, the woman pled guilty to first-degree manslaughter for pushing Barbara Maier Gustern, a Broadway singing coach, last year. Gustern suffered a fatal brain injury due to this random act of violence.

The singing coach was 87 years old. Videos of Pazienza have since gone viral online.

Lauren Pazienza Why

Pazienza supposedly reached an agreement with the Manhattan district attorney’s office in which she agreed to serve eight years in prison and five years of post-release supervision in a plea deal, noted here. Apparently, Pazienza had no previous relationship with the Broadway singing coach, which makes this incident reportedly random in nature. After the incident, Pazienza allegedly returned home. After the incident gained press and Pazienza learned Gustern had been injured, she tried to flee to other family members’ homes, as noted in the article.

Lauren Pazienza Fiance

As noted in the article, Pazienza mentioned to her fiance that she had shoved someone. Pazienza and her then-fiance are reportedly no longer together following the incident.
