HOLR Is Breaking Down The Latest News Following Backup Dancers’ Lawsuit Against Lizzo!
Lizzo is currently being sued for sexual harassment, sexual assault and workplace misconduct by three of her former backup dancers. This seemed like a cut and dry case of ‘he said she said’, but recently there has been an influx of new information that has blurred the lines in the dancers’ testimonies.

Previous Settlement
Firstly, it was revealed that these backup dancers had recently received a settlement regarding a prior dispute with Lizzo, regarding her ‘Love Lizzo’ documentary. The dancers claimed that footage of them added to the documentary without their consent. The footage featured some of Lizzo’s dancers commenting on what it is like to be plus-size dance artists as black women. In the unauthorized interviews the dancers were very emotional; one said “You can’t let nobody see you sweat. You have to be three times better than. It’s not two times. It’s three times. You know what I mean?”
Dancers Return To ‘The Special Tour’
Now we know that after this incident and the ones referenced in the current lawsuit, the three backup dancers suing Lizzo signed a contract to continue working for and performing with her for the third leg of her current tour.
A photo has been released showing the three dancers at the site of the alleged incident, where Lizzo supposed forced them to attend a nude party. But in this photo no one seems to be showing signs of any distress. Take a look:

Countersues With Support
Today it has been reported that Lizzo is planning to countersue, and her current backup dancers have issued a collective statement in support.
They said “We have been so honored to share the stage with such amazing talent. The commitment to character and culture taking precedence over every movement and moment has been one of the Greatest lessons and Blessings that we could possibly ask for. THANK YOU to Lizzo for shattering limitations and kicking in the door way for the Big Grrrl & Big Boiii Dancers to do what we love! You have created a platform where we have been able to parallel our Passion with a purpose!

New Music?
Lizzo was recently seen in public for the first time since the lawsuit was filed, and she does not seem phased in the slightest. She expressed that she is doing “good” and hinted that she is working on new music right now.
