As of Monday March 16th LVMH began to produce large quantities of hand sanitizer in France at all of their production facilities. In a swift response to COVID-19, LVMH will be distributing the sanitizer to French health authorities and the AP-HP, Paris’ public hospital network — free of charge.

Through this initiative, LVMH hopes to enable a greater number of people to continue to take the right action to protect themselves from the spread of the virus. LVMH began using all the production facilities of its Perfumes & Cosmetics brands (Parfums Christian Dior, Guerlain and Parfums Givenchy) to ensure they can rapidly produce the of hydroalcoholic gel which is currently in very high demand.
France has seen a rapid rise in COVID-19 cases with a total of 10,995 people diagnosed as this is published. With the tremendous strain on the health care system, it’s initiatives such as this one by LVMH that can make the difference in keeping front line workers safe.
