The TikTiker notes that New York is covered in a yellow haze that truly looks apocalyptic in nature. The yellow haze is unfortunately due to the large amount of smoke from Canadian wildfires. As of right now, New York allegedly has some of the worst air quality in the world right now. This haze can ve dangerous for people with respiratory issues, and caused the city to cancel a lot of outdoor events to limit people having to spend time outdoors.
The haze should not be around for much longer, but it will likely continue west where it will soon supposedly impact cities such as Pittsburgh.

As the smoke affects millions in both Canada and the United States, Canada is apparently on track for its “worst-ever” wildfire season, according to this article. It has been reported that supposedly fires are burning in almost all of the country’s provinces and territories. Wildfire risk is reportedly high throughout Canada this year.
