Osheaga always delivers an epic experience, every year drawing in thousands of fans and some of the top artists across all genres. This year was no different. Over 147,000 fans gathered in Montreal over a humid weekend with artists from around the world.
This year’s incredible lineup of artists included SZA, Noah Kahan, Chappel Roan, Labrinth, T-Pain, Green Day, Renee Rapp, Hozier, and Tyla.
It was another festival for the books. Highlights included:
Noah Kahan
For me, Noah Kahan was the highlight as he headlined Friday night. He was sporting a Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) Montreal jersey, while he brought the house down with a superb singalong set of his hits, including Stick Season, Northern Hemisphere, and All My Love.
T-Pain
It was pure nostalgia as T-Pain had the crowd dancing to his hit songs – from Low and Bartender to Kiss Kiss and All I Do Is Win. He had the crowd dancing and chanting along, as millennials, boomers and Gen-Z sang in unison.
Chappell Roan
Crowds went wild when Femininomenon herself, Chappell Roan took the stage. Her dedicated fans came in droves to pack the festival site, making it a record-breaking midday attendance. The entire audience danced to her infamous HOT TO GO song, many dressed up in her iconic pink for her Pink Pony Club song.
SZA
SZA’s nature-inspired set was immaculate as she danced and sang her hit songs for 1.5 hours. She headlined the final day of the fest, singing her lush R&B lullabies with pitch perfection to a welcoming audience.
Labrinth
This one was for the Euphoria fans as a mostly Gen-Z audience sang to Labrinth’s songs. He sure put on a show as he performed, dancing and singing to his beats. Overheard during his set, “I’m having an out-of-body experience.”
Tyla
No one puts on a show like Tyla. She has millions of fans for her reason. Her music – which includes Water, Jump and Truth or Dare – is catchy and she puts on a show for everyone as they danced and sang to her hits.
Green Day
Festivalgoers young and old had the time of their lives at Green Day’s fiery performance as they headlined Day 2 of the fest., They performed their fan favorites spanning over decades.
Olivia Dean, Mimi Webb and Briston Maroney
Another thing that I love about Osheaga is discovering new artists and genres. I got to hear and love watching Olivia Dean, Mimi Webb, and Briston Maroney perform some of their hits. They had incredible stage presence and their music is one that now lives on my playlist.
