Paramore remaining US tour dates “This Is Why” cancelled
Paramore will be backing out of their last two shows due to the lead singer Hayley Williams lung infection. Williams broke the news to fans on Wednesday evening. She released a statement on her Instagram story explaining that they will need to cancel the last two shows for her to have a good recovery.
Williams wrote, “After speaking with our team and my doc, I know that trying to finish this tour is now going to come at a detriment to my health. My lungs are just not healing quickly enough to keep up. It got a little scary tonight. We will have the team post an official statement ASAP but we are going to have to cancel the last 2 shows of the tour so I can get better finally. I know some of you are camping in Portland already so I just wanted to get this out there.” The lead singer concluded her story adding, “I’m so sorry for all the chaos this has caused some of you. I really tried to kick this. Love you all.”

An official statement was announced Thursday afternoon on Paramore’s Instagram detailing Hayley’s lung illness and how she tried to overcome it to accommodate fans attending their shows.

Paramore’s “This Is Why” tour was scheduled to perform over 30 shows in North America. The remaining shows that were canceled were in Portland and Salt Lake City.
