Pete Davidson Crashes Car – Reckless Driving Charge

Following his recent car accident, Pete Davidson has been charged with reckless driving and needs to complete 50 hours of community service. The news was confirmed by PageSix, and now Davidson will undergo an 18-month diversion program. 

According to a Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office representative, if Pete follows certain conditions, there will be no criminal offense on his record. The program will require the comedian to complete 50 hours of community service and 12 hours of traffic school, and he will spend time in a hospital or a morgue to see what the consequences of reckless driving might be.

The comedian will complete community service hours at the New York City Fire Department.

In March 2023, Pete Davidson crashed his car in someones Beverly Hills, California house. According to law enforcement, Pete “hopped a curb, took out a fire hydrant and then proceeded to slam into the side of a nearby house … dragging across the lawn and leaving skid marks on the grass.” HOLR breaks it down here.

“We believe that Mr. Davidson engaged in reckless driving, which ultimately resulted in his involvement in a serious collision into a home,” a rep for the DA’s office told PageSix. “Luckily, no one was seriously injured as a result of this collision. We know that reckless driving can have devastating consequences.” the spokesperson added.

As TMZ noted, Davidson did not test positive for any drugs or alcohol after police arrived at the place. Additionally, the “Saturday Night Live” alum was not alone in the car. He was together with his girlfriend, Chase Sui Wonders.
