The segment opens up with Sabrina Carpenter taking to a massive set stage and live audience, opening with a modern take on classic Christmas chimes. Sabrina shows up in her classic look, which Allure magazine describes as “the mob wife vibe, given that her entire aesthetic is pure va-va-voom vixen, with a touch of ‘50s and ’60s thrown in.”
Tyla has had a similar unique year in 2024, with her first international performance being at the Dolce & Gabbana runway show in February 2023.
Sabrina Carpenter Nonsense Lyrics
A particular part of the show that seems to be trending is Sabrina’s opening song ‘Nonsense Christmas.’ The theme continued throughout the segment. One particular cheeky part was what Sabrina and her team coined as a ‘Nonsense Outro’. This is “the innuendo filled ending of Sabrina Carpenter’s song ‘Nonsense’ which she alters for each performance.”
Nonsense is a hit song by Sabrina Carpenter from 2022.
What Did ‘A Nonsense Christmas’ Show?
Sabrina mixed comedy and short skits with her team to diversify the set from being a concert alone. Like a favourite moment of the short skit where Sabrina is dating Santa. Topics that show up in Sabrina’s music, similarly appear in the skits. The skit involves ideas of stereotypical men and infidelity.
Fans can get excited for the following scene, which is Sabrina sharing the stage with Shania Twain.
Likewise, Shania Twain shares a similar aesthetic to Sabrina, but of course, with a bit of country twang. The two grace the stage with an unexpected but exciting duet.
Sabrina Carpenter Career
Staring out as a child actress, Sabrina defines her perceived skyrocket to fame as a little more of a slow burn.
Billboard says:
“Even so, the multi-hyphenate has continued to star in a number of acting roles in between all that slow-but-steady success with her music career, lending her talents to numerous films, TV shows and animated projects since debuting on Girl Meets World. Keep reading to see a full list of the characters she’s played since her 2014 Hollywood breakthrough to now.”
A clear objective of the segment was not just to highlight Sabrina’s remarkable year, but to highlight other artists as well.
