Sam Smith Fans Are Literally Left In The Dark After The Musician Runs Off Stage During Show In Manchester
Sam Smith fans experience the scare of a lifetime after being left in the dark for 20 minutes after Smith rushed off stage unannounced at the Manchester Arena.
According to concertgoers at the venue, the audience was not informed why they had run off the stage leaving them in a state of panic.
It has recently passed 6 years since the Manchester Arena bombing at Ariana Grande’s ‘Dangerous Woman Tour’, therefore it is extremely understandable that ticketholders were fearful.
It turns out that Smith was having vocal issues which led to the concert being cancelled and fans were asked to leave the arena.
No idea what’s gone on at the Sam Smith concert but if it genuinely is vocal issues I think they need to put out a statement asap. Not fair to cause so much unnecessary worry & anxiety with such a significant week in Manchester

nothing against Sam Smith but the way things were dealt with in the Manchester Arena was awful…

Fans demanded a statement from the arena or Sam after the way his disappearing act caused many audience members fear and anxiety.
To this, Sam and his team released a statement:
“I don’t know what to say honestly. I fought off a virus a few weeks ago and since then we have travelled across Europe and had such incredible shows. Today in soundcheck I felt fine and was so excited to give Manchester an amazing show tonight, with a special surprise guest at the end. During my third song, I noticed something wrong with my voice. I prayed it was just my voice waking up for the show but into the fourth song I could feel something was really wrong. I am honestly heartbroken I couldn’t finish the show tonight for you all,” they concluded the message. “love you all. I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry.” (Via Sam Smith On Instagram)

Although the explanation was given, fans aren’t pleased with the way the night ended. The main argument here is the lack of transparency with the audience.
“It was so insensitive the way the audience found out. Especially with it being 6 years since the arena attacks! Keep them informed,” a user said.
As of now, Smith’s shows in Birmingham and Glasgow have been cancelled and are available for refunds.
