Lady Gaga Will Not Be Attending This Year’s Grammy Awards 2023, Here Is Why

With the Grammy Awards airing tonight on CBS, the anticipation is on. This year’s lineup is definitely something to tune into. According to the academy, the performers for the night include Harry Styles, Bad Bunny, Mary J. Blige, Steve Lacy, Lizzo, Kim Petras, Sam Smith and many more notable artists.

All the artists set to perform are also nominated for numerous amount of awards.

Speaking of nominees, Lady Gaga has been nominated for Best Song Written for a Visual Medium with ‘Hold My Hand’. The song contributed to the ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ movie which was released in theatres in May 2022.

Gaga Will Not Be Attending This Years Grammys

After speculation, it is confirmed that Lady Gaga will not be attending this year’s awards.

According to MensHealth, Gaga will not be attending this year due to the fact that she is working on a new movie called, Joker: Folie a Duex. She will share the screen with Joaquin Phoneix who plays the joker, Gaga will take the role of Harley Quinn.

In 2020, Lady Gaga released her sixth studio album called, ‘Chromatica.’ The album holds hits like ‘Rain On Me featuring Ariana Grande’, ‘Sour Candy featuring BLACKPINK’, and ‘Babylon’. The album and its accompanying promotional events, such as live performances and music videos, have been described as a futuristic utopia that exists within its own self-contained world, known as Chromatica.

Gaga was supposed to go on tour with the album in 2020. The tour was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tour was expected to feature a futuristic and immersive performance that would bring the world of “Chromatica” to life, complete with elaborate sets, costumes, and choreography.

Luckily in 2022, the tour went on and as expected it was extravagant.
