Apart from getting the award, he will be performing and competing for awards at VMA 2023.

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been in the industry for over three decades. Now MTV is all set to honour him with the Global Icon Award at the Video Music Awards. The category that MTV introduced in 2021. Moreover, this year, he got nominated in categories like Best R&B for “Creppin” (Remix) and Best Hip Hop for “Gotta Move On.”

Diddy has a good history with the VMA. He hosted the VMA in 2005 and won awards for Best R&B Video for “I’ll Be Missing You” in 1997 and Viewer’s Choice for “It’s All About the Benjamin” in 1998. Surprisingly, it’s his first performance at the VMA in 18 years. He performed with Snoop Dogg in 2005. Diddy also hosted the 2002 MTV Europe Music Awards in Palau Sant Jordi, Barcelona, Spain.

New Album

Diddy is coming out with his new album, “The Love Album: Off the Grid,” which will be released on 15 September.
