Selena Gomez announced the release of new music after nearly one year. Her song “Single Soon” via. Interscope Records will be released on August 25th. The new release is produced by Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat. The “Who Says” singer posted on her Instagram informing her 427 million followers of the upcoming song release. Selena captioned the photo cover post for her new song – “Y’all have been asking for new music for a while. Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer. SINGLE SOON. August 25th. Presave it now. ?“

Majority of the comments were positive about her new release, sending her lots of hearts. But one commentator seemed quite salty as the Instagram user wrote, “Omg she remembered she’s a singer”, receiving over 2k likes.

In June, Selena Gomez had previously teased new music in an Instagram post that showed Gomez reading from a piece of paper while recording vocals in front of a microphone. The caption wrote, “Don’t worry guys, it’s coming. Even from Paris.” We expect her music to be upbeat and honest as she had expressed to Vanity Fair in February that her upcoming music will have these vibes. Selena said, “It’s really powerful, strong, very pop. The theme generally is freedom — freedom from relationships, freedom from the darkness.”
