Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter, Shiloh, is removing “Pitt” from her last name.

July 19, 2024- Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, has officially gone through California’s legal process to drop “Pitt” from her last name.

According to PEOPLE, Shiloh requested to drop “Pitt” from her last name back in May.

Shiloh, 18, wrote for the Los Angeles Times that she has officially filed to change her name to “Shiloh Jolie.”

In California, the law requires that anyone seeking a legal name change must publish the legal forms in a newspaper for one month before a judge can approve it.

PEOPLE has also confirmed that Shiloh’s name-change documents were filed on May 27, which was also her 18^thbirthday.

Pitt, 60, and Jolie, 49, first met in 2004 while filming the iconic spy comedy, “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.”

This sparked major controversy at the time, as Pitt was still married to actress Jennifer Anniston.

The following year in 2005, Pitt and Anniston call it quits after five years of marriage.

“Brangelina” is born and the pair continue to have a relationship for 12 years.

Within those 12 years, Brangelina grew a family of three adopted and three biological children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne.

The pair filed for divorce in 2016.
