The first statements on the incident have been made by his attorney, according to People. “He had cuts to his face and bruises,” the lawyer said as he mentioned the rapper’s injuries.

Daniel Hernandez, the real name of the rapper, recently posted the video of the attack on his Instagram account and addressed the incident for the first time. “What happen[ed] here was nothing but cowardly. I’m not mad this happened,” he wrote in the video’s caption. “In the street, there’s no rules, so I can’t say they were wrong. Obviously, it wasn’t fair, but again the streets has no rules. Just imagine having nothing to do to with a situation and feel obligated to make it your business. (Very weird) I’m happy to be here still. And I want to say I love my fans. Thank you.” he continued.

The rapper was attacked by three men inside and outside the gym, while another person was filming the fight. Tekashi had no security around. Three men have been arrested since the physical assault,”Rafael Medina Jr., 43, Octavious Medina, 23, and Anthony Maldonado, 25”, as People mentions here.

“For two years, I been walking around with no security. Not saying I promote that, BUT now you see I really never hid from anything,” the rapper also wrote in the caption.
