Highlights and features
One of the latest models from the brand does not disappoint when it comes to highlights and features designed to make your diving experience one to remember.
When previewing the car, I was blown away by the attention to detail and integrated features, all of which added to the car’s functionality. For example, this 2022 Volvo XC60 had illuminated vanity mirrors in the sun visor, automatic dimming mirrors (exterior and interior), a panoramic sunroof, integrated roof rails, cruise control, and so much more! This is in addition to the car’s stylish body and easy-to-access features.
First-hand experience
Upon first glance, the 2022 Volvo XC60 looks and feels like a luxury vehicle. This particular model featured the Silver Dawn colourway and blonde perforated Nappa leather interior, although it is available in different colour combinations.
The outside allows for easy entry thanks to the key fob remote control and keyless entry, complete with hands-free tailgate opening. Inside, the car is extremely spacious- whether you’re sitting in the driver’s seat, or one of the passenger locations.
As well, adjustable front seat features were appreciated, as they allowed me to customize the driving experience to my liking. For instance, this model includes power-adjustable heated front seats with driver memory and cushion extension. The tailored sport steering wheel is also extremely comfortable to grip and use.
As someone who always has my phone with me, it was great to see that this model had wireless smartphone charging capabilities, which meant that my phone was always charged and ready while on my way to a destination.
I also loved the integrated Google automotive services. For instance, when navigating, changing radio stations, or adjusting the interior climate, simply start your request with, “Hey Google.” This allows for hands-free control while driving. I used this feature several times before, during, and after I reached my destination to test its efficiency, and it definitely lived up to the hype! However, my only caution would be to spell out specific street names (as opposed to pronouncing them) as sometimes it can be difficult for Google services to understand your exact location.
Packing up the car was also a breeze, since the mechanical release option for the rear seats allowed for extra storage space. This is an ideal feature for road tripping or big shopping sprees, as it gives you the ability to pack more efficiently and conveniently.
Driving the 2022 Volvo XC60 will be the smoothest ride of your life. Not only does the car drive like a dream, but it also has integrated safety features such as BLIS (Blind Spot Information System with Cross-traffic alert), lane-keeping aid, and a parking assist camera that come in handy when needed. In addition to the safety speed limit of 180 km/h, I also appreciated the fact that navigation directions and speed were displayed using a 12.3-inch driver display- this minimized the need to keep an eye on the speedometer or map.
All in all, the entire 2022 Volvo XC60 experience was amazing, from start to finish. Attention to detail on both the exterior and interior of the car ensured all angles were covered when it came to safety, style, and design. This is an affordable, reliable vehicle with luxury features that make your driving experience that much better.
