The Real Housewives of New York City are back to bring the temperatures up. Bravo announced on May 1 that the next 14th season of the show will finally launch on July 16 after an almost two-year break.
As announced earlier, the newly relaunched cast of the series includes model and philanthropist Ubah Hassan, fashion blogger and owner of Scout the City Sai De Silva, home renovation and design business owner Erin Dana Lichy, veteran of the fashion industry Jenna Lyons, fashion publicist Jessel Taank, and brand marketing and communications expert Brynn Whitfield.
Season 13 of RHONY came to an end in September 2021 following a season filled with controversy. In October 2022, over a year later, Bravo announced that they were totally recasting the show and bidding farewell to longstanding stars Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, and Sonja Morgan, as well as Leah McSweeney, who joined during season 12, and newcomer Eboni K. Williams, the show’s first Black Housewife.
Producer Lisa Shannon discussed the upcoming season on the Ultimate Girls Trip panel before it was revealed. On stage at BravoCon in New York City, Shannon declared that “the future of the New York franchise is very bright. There is a new cast, you will be hearing about this new cast very soon. And they’re, like, sensational. I am so excited about that.”
