In the season finale of ‘The Kardashians’ it was revealed that Khloé Kardashian’s ex and the father of her children, Tristan Thompson, has moved into her home.

This past January, Tristan’s mom, Andrea Thompson, unexpectedly died from a heart attack at age 53. At the time of her death Tristan Thompson became the legal guardian of his 16 year old brother Amari Thompson, who suffers from epilepsy.

Tristan has been on thin ice with the family since he cheated on Khloé twice, both while she was expecting. Despite this, the Kardashian-Jenners still hold Tristan Thompson close to their hearts. Kim Kardashian said the moment they found out about Andrea Thompson’s death they dropped everything and went to Toronto.

Khloé detailed that Tristan informed her of his mother’s death over the phone, in a call, so gut wrenching, she could barely understand what was being said; “He was screaming into the phone, ‘She’s gone,’ and was so emotional that she couldn’t understand who had died at first”.

At the time, Tristan was in the process of having his home renovated, because his roof collapsed. Since he and Amari had nowhere to stay, Khloé Kardashian offered them space at her home.

Kim Kardashian spoke to Khloé about the absurdity of the situation saying, “Isn’t God just funny how you were so ready to have your year of being free and now Tristan had to move in with you, his little brother had to move in with you, his roof caved in, what are the chances?”

Khloé definitively addressed the rumors, of her and Tristian rekindling their romance, on ‘The Kardashians’ saying, “Tristan and I are not back together. I know it’s hard for everyone to believe. But I love, love, love Andrea. I love Tristan. I love Amari. This is what family does. This is the father of my kids. I lost my dad [Robert Kardashian] and my dad was like a fairytale parent, but still I can’t wrap my head around losing my mom and I know how close Tristan and his mom are and it’s just heartbreaking. And then to be left with the responsibility of another person as well. It’s a lot… Tristan and I are family and we’re gonna be family for the rest of our lives.”
