Experience first-hand what makes Tiffany diamonds truly unique.
Diamonds are forever and Tiffany & Co. wants to allow you to experience first-hand what makes Tiffany diamonds truly unique through the brand’s latest immersive installation, “Diamonds of Tiffany.”
Tiffany & Co. is bringing its craftsmanship experience to the Toronto Bloor Street location through a limited-run installation to help tell the story of exploring the unparalleled beauty of Tiffany diamonds – many of which are mined in Canada. The House’s distinguished heritage of excellence in craftsmanship and its 180-year-old diamond authority makes this an experience you don’t want to miss, as it will guide you through a series of four captivating chapters: Diamond Provenance & Craft Journey, Diamond Clarity, Cut & Polish, and Craftspeople.
Here is a brief overview of what you can expect when experiencing each chapter.
Tiffany and Co.’s commitment to responsible mining and diamond traceability will act as the start of the Diamonds of Tiffany experience. Tiffany’s Diamond Provenance & Craft Journey initiatives reinforce its leadership and dedication to environmental and social responsibility. To signify these values, in 2020, Tiffany became the first luxury jewelry house to disclose the countries and full craftsmanship journey of where its newly sourced, individually registered diamonds (0.18 carats or larger) are cut, polished, graded, quality-assured, and finally set in their jewelry.
The story continues with Diamond Clarity in a diamond “laboratory” that comes complete with Tiffany Blue® microscopes. This immersive installation encourages viewers to discover and explore the process of diamond clarity. As well, guests will be able to learn all about the brand and its values, such as its commitment to top quality products, and how Tiffany & Co. rejects any diamonds with noticeable imperfections to the unaided eye.
Next up on the journey, guests will get the chance to explore the importance of the Cut & Polishing of a diamond. The Diamonds of Tiffany experience unveils that cut is the most important of the 4Cs and is the key to unlocking the brilliance of a diamond. It is important to note that human hands play a vital part in the faceting process and viewers will see how Tiffany artisans meticulously work to cut and polish to maximize the beauty of a diamond.
Then, guests will be transported to an immersive recreation of the Tiffany Workshop in New York City, where they can witness the integral role that the Craftsmanship & Craftspeople play in the faceting process and how Tiffany’s highly skilled craftspeople cut each diamond to maximize both beauty and brilliance.
Finally, The Diamonds of Tiffany experience will end with an opportunity for guests to try on an assortment of Tiffany diamonds. This is such a dream! Diamonds featured at the installation will include those from their Canadian mines as well as other mines from around the world.
Be sure to check out The Diamonds of Tiffany experience which will be on display at Tiffany & Co. in Toronto on Bloor Street, starting July 20, 2021, and running until December 2021.
