August 29, 2024– Mamta Kafle Bhatt is a nurse and mother to a young daughter from Virginia although she is originally from Nepal. However, she has been missing for weeks.  She was last seen July 27 at her place of work, UVA Health Prince William Medical Center.

Accoridng to this related article, Kafle Bhatt’s husband- whose name is Naresh Bhatt- is being accused of killing her and then dragging her body outside of their home as outlined in an alleged criminal complaint.  He has reportedly been charged with concealing a dead body and has since appeared in court. Apparently, he claimed that he last saw her on July 31 although he officially filed a missing persons report on August 5 as outlined in this Reddit thread.

There are new allegations that suggest Naresh also looked up disturbing search terms before she disappeared including, “How long does it take to get married when spouse die,” and “What happen to debt died spouse.” as noted here. The article also states that recent claims suggest he had sold his vehicle and checked into selling the duo’s home.

This is an ongoing investigation.

Kafle Bhatt has not yet been found and is presumed dead. However, her family members have been reunited with her young daughter following her disappearance.
