Darian Rogers, a Texas high school student teacher, is making headlines after a shocking discovery.
Rogers allegedly admitted to having a fling with a 17-year-old boy she taught. However, she reportedly told cops she saw him “as a little brother,” as claimed here. As noted in this YouTube video by Law & Crime Network, 17 is the legal age of consent in Texas. However, when that relationship involves a teacher, it is illegal.
This news has shocked readers as Darian Christine Rogers, 22, was charged with a second-degree felony, improper relationship between an educator and a student. It is alleged that the pair first met at a grocery store where they worked at the time, before she became a student teacher..
Then, evidence supposedly came out that Rogers reportedly sent inappropriate photos to a student, in which a student came forward to report a sexual relationship between Rogers and a minor, providing the allegedly damning voicemail from a woman identified as Rogers.
Both of them initially denied the alleged relationship, however, it did not last long before messages between the student and Rogers were revealed. In those alleged texts, mentions of Plan B were noted by detectives investigating the case. After denying the relationship at first, Rogers then admitted to having intercourse with the student “one time” in his truck in a parking lot near the grocery store where they both worked.
Rogers was booked into jail recently and has since been released on a $20,000 bond. She is next due in court on June 4 for a pre-indictment docket call, as claimed here.
