During this past Super Bowl, superstar Beyonce starred in a commercial for Verizon Wireless. Shortly after its airing, the singer announced on social media the release of two new singles, Texas Hold ‘Em and 16 Carriages.

The commercial features Beyonce attempting in vain to break the Verizon 5G network. Various methods the singer uses to try to break the network include a lemonade stand, releasing new music, and even performing in space.

The singles mark a country turn for the singer, but the strategy has some fans interpreting the announcement as upstaging halftime performer Usher.

As per a related article, some fans accused Beyonce of overshadowing Usher’s Super Bowl halftime performance, while others said it was possible to celebrate both artists without taking away from either of their successes.
