Justin Baldoni Lawsuit

As the article goes on to explain, The $400 million lawsuit, filed today, claims Lively attempted to take control of the film It Ends With Us and supposedly used underhanded tactics to tarnish Baldoni’s reputation and that of his team. Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, asserts that they possess strong evidence, such as text messages and emails, to support their claims of manipulation and falsehoods.

This legal action follows Lively’s own lawsuit against Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign, ultimately setting the stage for a lengthy legal dispute.

Justin Baldoni Text Messages Reddit

Text messages outlined in Baldoni’s new lawsuit seemingly make reference to one of Lively’s good friends, Taylor Swift, which caused a stir on social media. As noted in this article by E! News, in his countersuit, Baldoni claimed that he felt pressured by Reynolds and Lively’s “megacelebrity friend” to allow Lively more control over the film’s script.

This allegedly started when Lively asked if she could “take a pass” at writing the iconic rooftop scene in It Ends With Us, where the characters Ryle and Lily first meet. Baldoni’s lawsuit states that Lively’s version of the scene “dramatically differed from what had been written originally,” but he “thanked Lively for her passion” and diplomatically explained that the final scene would likely blend elements from both versions.

Baldoni appeared to confirm that Swift was the celebrity friend who attended a meeting at Lively and Reynolds’ home. In text messages to Lively, included in the lawsuit, Baldoni wrote, “Also was working on rooftop scene today, I really love what you did. It really does help a lot. Makes it so much more fun and interesting. (And I would have felt that way without Ryan and Taylor) You really are a talent across the board. Really excited nd grateful to do this together.”
