Zendaya is reportedly set to grace the Met Gala steps after 5 years, so fans are getting excited!
Met Monday will be here sooner than you think!
The 2024 Met Gala is coming up and scheduled for Monday, May 6, 2024. This highly-anticipated event will see celebrities and notable figures hit the famous Met Steps in the latest haute couture designs. This year’s showcase is the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” exhibition and the theme is centered on “The Garden Of Time.”
Hence the theme, we can likely expect to see an array of whimsical, floral silhouettes and designs. In an exciting announcement regarding this year’s co-hosts, Zendaya will be one of them which means that she will soon grace the Met Steps with her presence at this year’s event- after 5 years.

Zendaya has had her fair share of beautiful Met Gala looks, but one of her most showstopping outfits includes her 2019 Cinderella moment, where she donned a Tommy Hilfiger Cinderella-inspired gown that magically changed from grey to blue, as noted here. This look perfectly encapsulated the theme which was “Camp: Notes On Fashion” as her performance- with help from Law Roach- drew massive amounts of attention. She completed her look with a pair of glass slippers and purposefully left one on the stairs of the Met (here), which is very reminiscent of the classic fairytale.

Zendaya has only been to the Met Gala 5 times before, with her first time being in 2015 and her most recent appearance being in 2019, before the global pandemic. 2024 marks the first time in 5 years that the actress will be attending the Met Gala and we can’t wait to see her latest look. As a fashion icon in the space, Zendaya is always on top of the latest trends so there is no doubt that she will nail this year’s theme, as she has done in the past!
