In the highly anticipated sequel to “A Simple Favor,” Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively are set to reprise their roles, promising plenty of surprises for fans. The sequel, titled “A Simple Favor 2,” will reportedly take place in the stunning setting of Capri, Italy, where Emily is preparing for an extravagant wedding to a wealthy Italian businessman, surrounded by glamorous guests.

The plot of “A Simple Favor 2” will not disappoint, with Deadline reporting that amidst the celebration, viewers can expect murder and betrayal, adding more twists and turns than the picturesque roads of Capri.
According to ET, the official announcement of the sequel came in May 2022, generating excitement among fans. However, it wasn’t until March 2024 that Amazon MGM Studio gave the green light for production. Filming is scheduled to begin in spring 2024, with a release strategy targeting theaters and streaming platforms, as confirmed by Hollywood Life.
Returning Cast Alongside Kendrick and Lively, original cast members Henry Golding as Sean Townsend, Emily’s former husband, and Andrew Rannells as Darren, will return for the sequel. The ensemble cast will also feature Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, Ian Ho, and Kelly, ensuring a captivating narrative with depth.
Both Kendrick and Lively have expressed their enthusiasm for revisiting the world of Stephanie and Emily. Kendrick particularly looks forward to exploring Stephanie Smothers’ character once again, under the direction of Paul Feig.
