Amanda Bynes was placed in police custody on Saturday for a new mental health assessment.
According to TMZ, Amanda Bynes was placed again in police custody after officers were called for a woman who seemed “in distress.”
As noticed in photos posted by the outlet, Bynes was handcuffed and escorted to a police car. A source informed TMZ that Amanda’s mental health would be assessed to check whether she needs professional assistance and treatment.
An eyewitness mentioned that Amanda was calm while interacting with the police, but it is yet to be determined if she was found outside her home when she was placed in police custody.
Amanda Bynes Now 2023
Earlier this year, Amanda Bynes was placed in a mental health facility after being found naked on the streets of Los Angeles. At that time, TMZ informed that Bynes stopped a car to ask for help. More information about the incident can be found here.
Three weeks later, Amanda left the mental facility alone and agreed to enroll in an outpatient treatment program. HOLR breaks it down here. However, the Amanda Show star seems to have not been feeling well after leaving the facility. An insider who opened up to TMZ said she has been “feeling sad and isolated.”
Even though Bynes has been engaging in erratic behaviors recently, her parents decided not to proceed with another conservatorship. The recent incidents occurred one year after Amanda’s 9-year conservatorship ended. As noted by HOLR here, her parents were comfortable knowing that Amanda sought professional help by herself.
