Experts in Israel have claimed that a vaccine to combat ageing is “closer than ever”.

January 10, 2025: The prospect of an anti-ageing vaccine is “closer than ever”.

Israeli Scientists Lead the Charge

Researchers at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel have claimed that boffins are closer to developing a jab that is able to ward off the “internal enemies” of ageing – including dementia – than many would suspect.

The team said: “The potential rejuvenation of the immune system could help revitalise brain function, with the ultimate ambitious goal of developing an anti-ageing immune therapy.

“It is exciting to envision an immune-targeting approach to reduce the threat from our internal enemies that cause our decline with ageing.

“We believe that we are closer than ever to making these possibilities a reality.”

The scientists continued: “Additionally, strategies such as maintaining healthy lifestyle practices, targeting age-related soluble factors, and using senolytics (drugs that clear zombie cells), hold great promise for rejuvenating the immune system as treatments for brain ageing.”
