Celine Dion Becomes New Victim of AI

March 11, 2025 – Celine Dion fans be warned! “fake and not approved” AI-generated songs accredited to Dion have been circulating online.

Celine Dion’s team recently took to social media to warn fans of the singer of a harmful development. Recently, “unsanctioned, AI-generated music” has been circulating the internet while being promoted as Dion’s original productions. This is certainly not true, as the 56-year-old reported in this Instagram post.

Commenters on the post were both outraged by the AI music and immensely supportive of Dion. “Trust me Celine we know the difference between your amazing voice and AI,” one person commented, while someone else said, “Not even Al generated Celine content will ever be as good as authentic Celine content either way.”

Is AI taking advantage of Celine Dion’s Health Complications?

Why is AI targeting the iconic “My Heart Will Go On”-singer? Possibly, it has something to do with Celine Dion’s inactivity these past years.

In 2022, Dion was diagnosed with the rare neurological disorder stiff-person syndrome (SPS). This disorder causes muscle spasms and stiffness and has made it difficult for Dion to control her vocal cords. Due to these health complications, the singer had to step back from her singing career and cancelled part of her “Courage” tour. Her inability to perform during this stretch of time might have incentivized some to generate AI music and credit it to her.

Performing “Hymne à l’amour” at the 2024 Olympics was the first time Dion performed again after she had been diagnosed. The phenomenal moment when Dion stepped back on stage surged through the internet and had fans rejoicing all over the world. Though the singer has not yet revealed her full intentions of stepping back into the limelight, her return might not be out of the question.
