“‘Dude are you okay?’ That’s the number one text message I’ve received in the past 48 hours,” Jost said.

“Usually followed by ‘Heard your foot fell off’. Well I’m actually fine. Despite what big media conspiracies would have you believe, I wasn’t sent home from the Olympics,” Jost continued.

“NBC simply looked at my foot, legally declared me a leper, and exiled me here to the island of Malta. Now Malta doesn’t have many Olympians competing this year, but it does have thousands of 15-year-old British kids competing to see who can black out the fastest. And somehow, they are all winning,” Jost joked.

A week prior to this video, Jost posted a short clip saying, “I’m alive. With journalism.”

“Rumours of my death have been greatly exaggerated. Semis and finals of Olympic surging happening right now in Tahiti. At the Wall of Skulls,” Jost continued.

Why is Colin Jost in Malta?

According to USA Today, Jost was replaced by Australian weatherman Luke Bradnam as the surfing competitions finished.
