The star-studded returning cast features actress Kyla Pratt `as Penny Proud. Pratt can currently be seen on FOX’s hit comedy series Call Me Kat as a series regular in the role of Randi. Pratt also voiced Penny in the original Disney Series and The Proud Family Movie. She is best known for the hit movies, the Dr. Do-Little films, Fat Albert, Hotel For Dogs, and guest-starring roles on the hit tv shows, Lizzy Mcguire, Moesha, Family Matters, and many more).

Tommy Davidson will reprise his role as Penny’s over-protective Father, Oscar Proud. Davidson recently starred in the award-winning documentary I Am Comic and in the feature documentary Dying Laughing. He is best known for starring in the show In Living Color and the movie Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls.

Paula Jai Parker is back as Mom, Trudy Proud. Parker’s film roles include Phone Booth, High Crime, Hustle & Flow. She also had several guest roles on the series Queen Sugar, True Blood, Insecure, and more.

The popular hip and sharp-tongued Suga Mama will once again be voiced by actress, JoMarie Payton who starred in the hit tv show Family Matters and had guest roles on Will & Grace and Moesha. Suga Momma will continue to keep her son, Oscar and daughter-in-law, Trudy in line while lovingly care for her grandbabies and Penny’s twin siblings Bebe and Cece Proud.

In these modern times, Dad Oscar will be dreaming of bigger dreams, while Mom Trudy ventures into new realities. And a teenage Penny will encounter drama from the social media world as well as be schooled by socially woke situations.

Rounding out the stellar cast will be Comedian, Cedric the Entertainer as Uncle Bobby, Karen Malina White as Dijonay Jones, Alisa Reyes as LaCienega Boulevardez and Soleil Moon Frye as Zoey Howzer.

Among the new characters are ‘Maya’, voiced by Emmy award-winner actress, and producer, Keke Palmer and her brother ‘KG’ voiced by the artist, A Boogie. Maya and KG are two new kids in Smithville, who will deal with the struggles of being the new kids on the block and having two Dads. 

“The Proud Family”: Louder and Prouder on Disney+ is a multi-episode series.
