Snooze Fest in SOFI. Dolphins beat the Rams 23-15 in an MNF matchup.
November 11, 2024- Monday’s matchup was a predictably boring one. The Dolphins were on the road in SOFI and came up with the win against a deflated Rams offense. Dolphins win 23-15.
The Rams struggled in the red zone for the entire game. They missed out on every red zone opportunity that they were presented with. Joshua Karty had a busy game, going 5/6 on field goals and acquiring the only points the Rams would see tonight.
With 40 seconds left on the clock and an opportunity to get a touchdown on the board, Sean Mcvay in all his wisdom, decided to forgo a red zone drive and opted for a field goal on 3rd down. Yes, third down. The reasoning was somewhat sound as he was counting on Karty to kick a successful onside kick following the three points.
Fun fact, Joshua Karty has never attempted an onside kick in his life.
The play went the way you would expect it to go. Dolphins swarmed the ball and ran the clock out for a big road win.
Dolphins Player Stats
Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa
Tyreek Hill was a late activation for this MNF matchup. He also scored his first touchdown since week 1. The 7 week touchdown drought has been the longest of his career. This is Tyreeks worst statistic year since 2016.
On the flip side, rookie Malik Washington got his first career touchdown on the first score of the game. It was also his second career carry. The Dolphins build their talent around speed so it is no surprise that the 4.47 40 yard dash rookie made it to the roster.

Rams Player Stats
Receivers Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp each put up decent numbers for how poorly the offense operated tonight. Puka caught 9 balls for 98 yards and Kupp caught 7 balls for 80 yards.
They were the highlight of the offense tonight as running back Kyren Williams struggled to move the ball on the ground. He rushed on 15 attempts for 62 yards.
Stafford was getting abused behind the line of scrimmage tonight as he was sacked 4 times and pressured on many more. This was surprising as the Rams hadn’t allowed a single sack over the past two games.
Stafford threw for nearly 300 yards and an interception yet failed to convert on any of the Rams’ red zone opportunities.
Dolphins vs. Rams
The Dolphins are now 3-6 on the season and the Rams have fallen to 4-5.
While the Rams playoff hopes are dwindling following this loss, the Dolphins are looking to make a push for the wildcard as the second half of the season unfolds.
The Dolphins face off with the Raiders next week and the Rams will play the Patriots. Both teams are still hunting for a playoff position.
