The iconic footwear brand has partnered with the British engraver King Nerd. This new collaboration brings Dr. Martens and the master engraver together for the first time, the collaboration features Dr. Martens original silhouettes with gold and silver engraved metallic accents celebrating boots with a distinctive imprint.

Johnny Dowell, also known as King Nerd, began his journey by studying Art with the plan of one day studying Fashion at Central Saint Martins and quickly worked his way from apprentice to world-renowned master engraver in just under 15 years. The artistic freedom he was granted from a young age has manifested itself amongst the engraving scene’s most intricate designs and changing the face of engraving by fusing his DIY-style illustrative designs with traditional handcraftsmanship on his one-of-a-kind pieces.

Luxury watches, Cameras, Pistols, Motorbikes and now the iconic Dr. Martens shoes and boots, King Nerd has made his mark on featuring metal plates and a toe cap bolted to the 1460 Leather Lace Up Boot and 1461 Leather Oxford Shoe.

The 1460 Leather Lace Up Boot features silver metal plates embossed with a bespoke design from the artist himself. The Boot is built from tough Smooth leather, is finished with silver engraved metallic accents and have a Smoke DMS sole and yellow welt stitching.

The 1461 Leather Oxford Shoe features gold metal plates embossed with a bespoke design from the artist himself. The Shoe is built from tough Smooth leather, the shoe is finished with metallic accents, a Smoke DMS sole and yellow welt stitching.
