Ellen Degeneres says she is done with Hollywood.
July 13, 2024 – Ellen Degeneres, the longtime host of daytime television says she is finished with show business. Saying, “You won’t be seeing me after my Netflix special.” via SF
This, after a member of the audience asked Degeneres if she would be appearing on Broadway or the big screen anytime soon?
The 66-year-old replied, “Umm no, this is the last time you’re going to see me.” After my Netflix special, I’m done. Thank you for caring.” via SF
Ellen makes it very clear to the audience in Santa Rosa, while she is doing her titled, Ellen’s Last Stand… Up tour – as this is her final tour.
Ellen was fielding questions from a Q&A session held at a center for the arts, located in the San Francisco Bay area when the fan asked about her return to the entertainment industry.
Another person in the audience, decided to keep it going with the comedian, and asked if she would return as the voice of Dory in Finding Nemo?
Ellen replied firmly, “No I’m going bye-bye, remember.” via SF
Why is Ellen Done?
Ellen continued to speak on the matter, by saying “Let me catch you up on a few things. I got chickens. And oh yeah, I got kicked out of show business for being mean.” via SF
Degeneres, who wanted to make it very clear to the audience, commented “I am many things, but I am not mean.”
Why Did Ellen’s Show End?
Ellen was outed as a ‘mean girl’ by co-workers during the show’s hiatus, which took place during the COVID lockdown.
In response to the allegations made by co-workers who accused the comedian of being mean and having a toxic work environment.
Ellen abruptly called it quits in season 19. The final season of, ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’ was in 2022.
It was reported that she paid millions of dollars in bonuses to staff who had maintained longevity with the show. As well as to staff who had less employment.
One thing is for certain and that is, Before Ellen retires from fame, she said she is going to set the record straight. She told the crowd, yes she is going to talk about it.
