Friday, May 8th, rising star Greyson Chance releases his new single “Honeysuckle” along with an accompanying music video via Arista Records. Watch/Listen HERE. “Honeysuckle” is off of Greyson’s forthcoming album, which was executively produced by Teddy Geiger and is due for release later this year. The track follows the debut single off the record, “Dancing Next To Me,” which MTV praised as a “wonderful surprise” and PAPER Magazine called a “confident step into a new era of Chance’s now decade-long career.”

Of the song and video, Greyson says, “Honeysuckle’ is inspired by my own personality changes from the summer to the winter. Every year, I notice a larger difference within myself as the season changes. In the colder months, I tend to be reserved and timid, and in the heat, I embrace reckless and carefree energy. I wanted this song to represent the change between unsure and sure, between shy and outgoing, and between guarded and free. It reminds me of my teenage years anytime I hear it, and it makes me feel nostalgic. I hope it does the same for the listener.

“Shooting the music video for ‘Honeysuckle’ during this time was certainly challenging, but I think the difficulties also led me to a heightened appreciation of Oklahoma (my home state) in its raw form. There were just four of us to shoot the video and we did it before stay-at-home orders went into effect. It’s the first time I had felt avant-garde on a set in a long time, and I feel as if the song shares that sentiment too.
