Anya Taylor-Joy and her husband, Malcolm McRae took to Instagram Tuesday to announce their marriage two years ago on April Fool’s Day. Taylor-Joy gushed over how the “magic of that day is ingrained in every cell of my being, forever,” She also shared several photos from the New Orleans wedding.
The first photo shows Taylor-Joy in what appears to be a church wearing a Dior-designed wedding dress, white bouquet, and long wedding veil. A video that shows a better look at the wedding dress, with Anya standing in front of a series of candles and flowers, follows.
Taylor-Joy’s wedding dress appears to be off-white and features designs of birds and various aspects of nature on both the bodice and skirt. In another photo, the actress can be seen smiling under her veil with her veil with husband Malcolm McRae, and two wedding guests. One of the guests is British actress Cara Delevingne, who opted for a white suit.

Taylor-Joy’s roles earned her several awards, including an Emmy, Critic’s Choice, and Golden Globe for The Queen’s Gambit. She’s been nominated a total of 45 times and won 19 awards.

Malcolm Mcrae is a US-born musician and actor. He is part of the band More, lending his musical skills to the show Daisy Jones and the Six, starring Riley Keough and Sam Claflin. McRae served as a coach to the actors on set and contributed to the show’s music.
McRae and Taylor-Joy met back in 2021 at the premiere of The Queen’s Gambit. McRae appeared to be smitten with Taylor-Joy, writing a song about her two days after their meeting titled, “Really Want to See You Again.”
The musician took to Instagram on Tuesday to post a sweet tribute to his wife, “I love you now and somehow I always have and somehow it will never end,”
Speaking to British Vogue about her relationship, Anya gushed over McRae, saying that she’d “finally found someone who will happily sit in silence with me reading,”
