Johnny Depp has donated the $1 million settlement he received from his trial with Amber Heard

A TMZ exclusive says that Johnny Depp has finally received the $1 million settlement from Amber Heard and he is not keeping any of the money to himself. The money will be split evenly across 5 charities with $200k going towards each one.

Johnny will be donating to Make-a-Film Foundation, granting film wishes to children with serious or life-threatening illnesses, The Painted Turtle, a camp for children with serious medical conditions, Red Feather, a development group that provides housing for Native American communities,  Tetiaroa Society, who works towards the conservation and sustainable use of the island Tetiaroa,  and the Amazônia Fund Alliance, which aims to protect and preserve indigenous communities in the Amazon.

Several representatives from the charities have told TMZ “they can’t wait to put the money to work.”

Heard and Depp agreed that she would pay him $1 million for the settlement as a result of the highly-viewed defamation trial that took place last year.
