Olympics Try To Strip Jordan Chiles Of Her Bronze Medal After Scoring Incident

USA Gymnast Jordan Chiles is facing immense drama regarding her recent bronze medal win. The gymnast was the last female to perform her floor routine in this year’s 2024 Paris Olympics. After Chiles’ final score was announced, her score was just below earning a spot on the podium. The reflected score made it seem like Romanian Gymnast Ana Barbosu would take bronze in the event. However, Chiles and some of the coaches on the USA team but in a challenge to the judges. They alleged that the judges missed one of Jordan’s tricks, and her score didn’t reflect her routine. After a short while, the committee changed the score, awarding Chiles the Bronze medal and a spot on the podium with Simone Biles and Rebeca Andrade.

The past few days have fueled the drama surrounding the event, as the Olympic committee is now trying to strip Chiles of her medal and give it back to Ana Barbosu. The original reason the Olympic Committee sided with Barbosu is that they claimed Chiles and her coach didn’t appeal her score within the allowed time limit. However, today, new video evidence was submitted that showed Coach Cecile Landi did, in fact, submit the request in the allowed time for scores to be challenged. The Olympic committee has currently not commented further on the situation. Although many fans and on-lookers have come to support Chiles in this difficult situation.
