Kendrick Lamar has teamed up with the creators of South Park. The comedy film is set to be released in 2026.
Kendrick Lamar Film
South Park co-creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker are working on a new live-action comedy. However, this time Kendrick Lamar will play a creative role, leaving both comedy and music fans intrigued. Lamar is currently in the spotlight for his feud with Drake, which resulted in him winning five Grammys for his diss track ”Not Like Us.”
Therefore, most music fans know that Kendrick is able to write smart, funny lyrics. However, will his clever lyricism translate well to the big screen?
Trey Parker And Matt Stone
The film is going to be distributed by Paramount Pictures, and it will be produced by Stone and Parker’s production company. In addition, Lamar’s company, PGLang, will also be involved.
The studio has not revealed the extent of the creative team, with the exception of the major names involved. However, the film’s premise promises audiences an offensive but clever social commentary akin to Stone and Parker’s work on South Park.
