Nelly Arrested In His Hometown

August 9th, 2024 – Rapper Nelly is arrested in his hometown for ecstasy possession and expired car insurance.

Rapper Nelly was arrested yesterday in his hometown of St.Louis, Missouri. The rapper was at Hollywood Casino, a local casino, hotel, and concert stadium. Around 4:45 a.m., local police apprehended him. While Nelly’s arrest could have been seen as coincidental, his attorney and other sources believe the arrest was targeted.

During his night at the casino, the rapper won a few jackpots and sought to end his night by collecting his winnings. However, a nearby officer who decided to “supervise” the money transfer also took the opportunity to run a search for warrants under the rapper’s name. The officer found an outstanding warrant for a  2018 citation for driving without proper proof of insurance. Scott Rosenblum, Nelly’s attorney, added that the officer then “paraded” Nelly through the casino after cuffing his hands behind his back. A search happened after that where the office allegedly found him in possession of four ecstasy pills. The rapper was said to be released a few hours after the arrest. Not much else has been revealed about the situation, but his attorney believes the case won’t go far as the officer shouldn’t have a lot of credible evidence to book on the rapper.

Aside from his arrest, the rapper has most recently been in the news for his relationship and family status. The rapper got back together with his ex, R&B singer Ashanti. The pair have announced within the past year that they got married and are expecting their first child together. While the gender is still unknown, the couple seems excited to extend their family and rekindle their old flame.
