Liam Payne Case Latest
Rogelio Nores, Gilda Martin, and Esteban Grassi all potentially faced serious sentences behind bars until recently. Martin and Grassi, the manager and main receptionist, took Payne to his room when they found him intoxicated in the hotel lobby. Nores is a friend of Paynes, who was outside the hotel during the time of his death.
Prosecutors claimed that the balcony posed an obvious danger and that Payne should have been kept away from his room. However, they failed to prove how taking Payne to his hotel room would constitute “negligent conduct.”
In comparison, the prosecutors stated that Nores ‘‘failed to comply with his duty of care” because he left Payne alone knowing about his drunken state. However, the court sided with the defense attorneys. According to the attorneys, Nores was not obligated to care for Payne.
However, Ezequiel David Pereyra and Braian Paiz are still in custody. The former hotel employee and waiter are being charged with supplying narcotics to the singer, which can lead to a sentence of up to 15 years in Argentina.
