Marvel’s Fantastic Four: First Steps Teaser Trailer Released

February 5, 2025 – Last Tuesday, the teaser trailer for Marvel’s new Fantastic Four: First Steps dropped, exciting fans around the world.

After years of waiting, fans are finally getting another Fantastic Four movie. Marvel Studios bought back the rights to the ‘First-Family’ back in 2019, and many wondered when the studio would bring the Fantastic Four back to the big screen. Well, the wait is now over. Last Tuesday, Marvel released its teaser trailer for their upcoming Fantastic Four: First Steps movie set to release July 2025.

The teaser trailer revealed Marvel’s First Family living in a stylish 60s-retro Tomorrowland in their staple Baxter Building. The team gives small glimpses of their superpowers – Sue Storm’s invisibility, Ben Grimm’s strong and stone appearance, and Johnny Storm’s flames – but surprisingly not Reed Richard’s stretching.

A lot is riding on the Fantastic Four’s shoulders. The movie is set to introduce Marvel’s “Phase Six”, where Doctor Doom played by none other than Robert Downey Jr. will be the franchise’s main antagonist.

Fantastic Four: First Steps Cast

Some big names comprise the Fantastic Four: First Steps cast. The movie stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richard, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm.

Many fans are excited by this cast. Comments on IGN show fans exclaiming how Marvel “nailed the casting” and they “Love the VFX, the color grading, the score, the casting.”

Besides the actors for the big four, John Malkovich and Natasha Lyonne will also star in the movie, though their roles have remained undisclosed.

Fantastic Four: First Steps AI Poster?

Despite the excitement surrounding the teaser trailer, some fans were concerned about the potential use of AI in the Fantastic Four: First Steps film poster. As reported by Deadline, there was speculation about AI use in the poster because some people had four fingers and two women appeared to have the same face.

Marvel Studios has used AI before during its Disney+ series Secret Invasion. However, this was done with intent, as AI characteristics fit the series’ shape-shifting plot. There would be no need to use AI for the Fantastic Four.

Clearing up the speculation, Deadline reported that a Marvel Studios representative came forth to denounce the rumors, saying AI was not used.
