As noted in the TikTok video, there have been tons of videos going viral recently of megachurches and the musicals they have during Christmas. They are “insanely high budget” and often feature things such as live animals performing on stage. They also tend to have live acrobatics.

The reason people are reportedly upset about this is that they think that these shows “take away from” the point of Christmas and the church in general. A lot of people think these megachurches spend money on things that don’t matter such as extravagant Christmas plays. They think that the money should instead be spent on helping others in need.
