Lady Gaga partners with Pfizer

Lady Gaga collaborates with pharmaceutical company Pfizer to promote Migraine awareness with Pfizer’s new migraine drug Nurtec. The Poker Face posted a photo carousel  on Instagram. The first picture is Gaga posing on stage from The Chromatica Ball Tour with the Nurtec logo in the top right corner. The next two photos were general and safety information, and the listed side effects for the migraine drug. Lady Gaga’s fans were not happy with her paid partnership and accused her of being money thirsty. There were comments like, “Baby you don’t need money this badly…” and ‘”Remember the “I hate money” days? Those were the days man.”‘

Fans also commented about the post being homophobic. A comment that received over a thousand likes wrote, “posting a photo of the chromatica ball during pride month but being a migraine ad is homophobic.”

Lady Gaga Migraine Disorder

In the caption, Lady Gaga discusses her experience with migraines. “Ever since childhood, I’ve dealt with migraine pain. When I tried Nurtec® ODT (rimegepant) 75 mg for the first time, I’ll never forget wishing I had found it sooner. “

Pfizer shares an article Tuesday, June 13th, about their collaboration with Lady Gaga. Angela Lukin, a member of the Pfizer Global Biopharmaceuticals Business Leadership Team said, “We believe that this collaboration will help raise awareness of this often ‘silent’ disease and inspire those living with migraine to have conversations with their healthcare providers about the best way to manage their condition.”
