As part of the celebrations surrounding its Gifts of the Forest holiday campaign, Nespresso Canada is donating $100,000 to Tree Canada to support its National Greening Program, which seeks to regreen areas in need of reforestation or afforestation which then contributes to cleaner air and waterways. 20,000 trees will be planted with the help of Nespresso Canada’s donation, thousands of them will be planted in Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia.

Nespresso has just launched their Festive collection, in collaboration with fashion designer Johanna Ortiz and inspired by the tastes of the forest.  The holidays are upon us and it’s time to get festive. There is no better way to celebrate the winter season than with your favourite cozy drink. Whether you are cozying up by the fire or hosting a COVID-safe get-together, these recipes are sure to put you in the holiday spirit on a winter day. Be sure to check out The Forest Spritz, The Forager, and The Woodland Cappuccino. The Festive collection not only brings the gift of quality coffee, but it also gives back to the Canadian forest as well.

For nearly 20 years, Nespresso has been committed to protecting nature through agroforestry projects. Constantly seeking to support the communities in which their coffee farms operate, the partnership between Nespresso Canada and Tree Canada is in addition to the company’s current commitments to sustainable development.

Nespresso works with more than 120,000 farmers in 15 different countries through its AAA Sustainable Quality™ Program to prioritize sustainability practices on farms and the surrounding areas. Launching in 2003 in collaboration with the NGO Rainforest Alliance, this program’s initiative is helping to improve the quality of harvests, while also ensuring a sustainable supply of high-quality coffee and improving the livelihoods of farmers and their communities.

Tree Canada is the only national non-profit organization dedicated to planting and nurturing trees in rural and urban communities. Through their programs, research, and engagement efforts, they have helped restore tree cover in areas hit by natural disasters, guided communities in managing their urban forests, supported over 700 schoolyard greening projects, and organized urban forest conferences. Tree Canada has planted nearly 83 million trees and is delighted by this new collaboration with Nespresso Canada.
