Gomez reportedly claimed she is deleting Instagram following backlash from her recent post about the Israel Palestine conflict. She recently took to social media to claim that she is “taking a break from social media” and that she is “done.”

Although her Instagram is still visible, her recent story post is not available. The TikToker also voiced her own opinions on why Gomez would claim she is deleting Instagram, even though it seems as if this isn’t actually the case.
Gomez faced recent backlash for her previous story post which stated the following (also here):
“I’ve been taking a break from social media because my heart breaks to see all of the horror, hate, violence, and terror that’s going on in the world. People being tortured and killed or any act of hate towards any one group is horrific. We need to protect ALL people, especially children, and stop the violence for good. I’m sorry if my words will never be enough for everyone or a hashtag. I just can’t stand by innocent people getting hurt. That’s what makes me sick. I wish I could change the world. But a post won’t. As the most followed woman, musician, and actor on Instagram, fans did not agree with Gomez’s statement that she thought she couldn’t change the world by speaking out.
