Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale New Season 6 Airing Now

April 9, 2025 – After two years, The Handmaid’s Tale season 6 is finally airing on Hulu, and fans can’t wait to watch the finale of this epic dystopia.

“The Revolution Is Here,” announces Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale on Instagram. After waiting 2 years, the next season of the much-beloved dystopian series based on Margaret Atwood’s novel has arrived.

Season 5 ended with June Osborn, played by Elisabeth Moss, fleeing Canada after a surge of anti-refugee sentiment. She tries to escape on a train with Luke (O.T. Fagbenle), but Luke is captured before he can board. Getting onto the train just in time, June takes baby Nichole into the cabin, only to find Serena (Yvonne Strahovski) also there trying to escape.

Season 6 kicks off from this point, with the two fleeing women riding the train to their hopeful freedom. But this is The Handmaid’s Tale, and escape has never been easy. And this time, freedom isn’t the only thing June is fighting for. She wants change. She wants revolution.

Season 6 of The Handmaid’s Tale Kicks Off

The season’s synopsis reads: “In the final season of The Handmaid’s Tale, June’s unyielding spirit and determination pull her back into the fight to take down Gilead. Luke and Moira join the resistance. Serena tries to reform Gilead while Commander Lawrence and Aunt Lydia reckon with what they have wrought, and Nick faces challenging tests of character. This final chapter of June’s journey highlights the importance of hope, courage, solidarity, and resilience in the pursuit of justice and freedom.”

Already, the first three episodes have been released, and the next will be released weekly on Hulu. In total, the season will have 10 episodes.
