Wes Anderson’s short film stars Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead.

Wes Anderson is back on screen with a short film, “Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar.” The trailer was released on Thursday, where we see Benedict Cumberbatch for the first time in a Wes Anderson film. Alongside Cumberbatch, the movie stars Ralph Fiennes, Dev Patel, Ben Kingsley and Richard Ayoade. It’s the second collaboration of Ralph Fiennes and Wes Anderson after The Grand Budapest Hotel in 2014.

It’s based on Roald Dahl’s story of the same name. The title character of Henry Sugar is played by Cumberbatch, who is a 41-year-old rich and unmarried. Henry narrates his own story in the trailer. Sir Ben Kingsley is shown as a man who can see without using his eyes. The short film runs for just 39 minutes.

It’s one of the four of Roald Dahl’s short stories that Anderson has made. Following Henry Sugar, stories like The Swan, Poison and Ratcatcher will be released. It’s not the first time that Anderson has adapted Dahl’s story. He adapted it for his 2009 animated movie Fantastic Mr. Fox.

It will be released in selected theatres on September 20. Will stream on Netflix from September 27. Watch the trailer below.
